The Orton-Gillingham Language Approach is an evidence-based, structured literacy approach that supports children, teenagers and adults with dyslexia and other literacy difficulties. It uses explicit, sequential and multisensory teaching to develop reading, spelling, writing and language skills.
At Speech Pathology Tasmania, our Orton-Gillingham Language Approach Educators are qualified Practising Members with extensive experience delivering personalised literacy intervention. Sessions are tailored to each learner’s goals and literacy level and may include interactive activities, home practice and ongoing guidance for parents, teachers and carers to support continued progress.
The Orton-Gillingham Language Approach is accredited by the International Dyslexia Association, making it a trusted approach for structured literacy intervention.
